Colectomy
Completed my surgery today. Had 10" removed from my lage intestine to hopefully rid me of the chronic diverticulitis ive been suffering from for the past 5 years.
Surgery was a success. Done laproscopicly (sp?) and took about 4 hours. Woke with a lot of pain but it has been brought under control.
It will take a few weeks to recover from and I should be back to normal in about 2 months...
Thanks to those who wished me success, it seems to have worked :)

Hospital and 200,000 Unique...
Its been a loooong month for me. For those who do not know me personally, I just completed two, separate, unexpected week long stays in the hospital for intestinal infections. Its safe to say it was no fun whatsoever. I am planning a future surgical procedure that should rid me of any future repeats...
With that aside, while I was bedridden, my website recorded its 200,000th unique visitor. Statistics posted in the images above :)
Thanks for all the well wishes from everyone, it definitely helped pass the time :)

Talk Nerdy To Me...
I only spent a year working at the ill fated "ESPN Mobile", But I made some terrific friends while there. Not the least was my good friend Katie Linendoll. We shared a fondness for collecting toys and the occasional fart joke (I would tell them and she would roll her eyes...). After the good people at Disney decided to pull the plug on its mobile sports venture, we pretty much lost touch. Then one day I spotted her in my wired magazine in an ad as one of the hosts of A&E's Emmy-nominated reality show, 'We Mean Business". It turns out in the two years time I hadn't seen her she went ahead and got herself a pretty groovy career pitching tech gear in her unique quirky manner.
Well she now has launched her long awaited blog (well, i've been waiting... :P) and its sure to bring expected kooky entertainment :D
Check it out here- Linky

Original Pin-Up Paintings on sale...
Clearing out the closet....
During the late 90's and early 00's I created a series of Erotic/Pin-Up illustrations for several magazines including Penthouse & Heavy Metal.
I have mostly put these away so as not to distract from the work I wanted to do, and am currently doing now.
All these works are original, one of a kind, hand painted, acrylic on masonite. All prices are shipping included.
I have several hard copies of each of the printed magazines and will include a copy upon purchase while supplies last...
Available in the Shop/Originals section on my website LINKY

Interview with Toy2r Raymond Choy
Interview with Toy2r CEO Raymond Choy from Format Magazine.
excerpt from article:
"Format: what is the most unusual/creative toy custom that you have seen so far?
Raymond Choy: We had been following the development of an artist, Emilio Garcia. He is a very talented young man and developed the resin figure known as the Jumping Brain (a brain with frog-like legs). When I first saw it I was not sure what to make of it but the more I studied it and saw the detail and the talent that was poured into the figure, I grew attached to it. So we contacted Emilio for permission to show the figure in our booth during Toy Fair. The response was so overwhelming that we are now working out the details to re-create his vision into vinyl, mini figures and more.
Then there is Jason Freeny who developed the QEE Anatomy piece for us. He is a very talented individual. I got to meet him in New York and he showed me a lot of his work and I was very impressed. He used our Baby Qee figures for a couple of customs and I was so impressed that we are going to reproduce them as limited collectibles. We are also working on the QEE Anatomy piece and are planning to develop it into our flagship release for 2010!"

After teaming up with the Fortune Promoseven Ad Agency for a campaign promoting the Brainobrain Jumeira child development program, my signature anatomy schematics took home the Gold Medal in Print and the highest award of Grand Prix in the Outdoor category.
My work will now travel to the 56th International Advertising Festival in Cannes France to be judged in the juried show at the end of June this year.

Qee Anatomy Limited Edition Ultrachrome Print
It is a great honor for me to have teamed up with Designer Vinyl heavy hitter Toy2r to produce a limited edition Ultrachrome print of the inner workings of a Bear Qee "Qee Anatomy".
Working with Raymond Choy and Kevin Winnik has been a treat all the way.
I got to sit down with Raymond at the NY Toy Fair and discuss our future plans of upcoming toys and collaborations... Maybe even bring this Anatomy Qee to life in a production model, stay tuned... :D
UPDATE* This will be going into production and slated for a 2010 release date :)
